What to visit?

If You Could Live in One Awe-Inspiring Place, Where Would It Be?

For me, it would be Venice, Italy.

Being there was unlike anywhere else I had ever visited. You could walk almost everywhere, then hop on a water bus or water taxi and suddenly be on your way to another part of the city or even another island.

I loved wandering through the streets and seeing the artisans at work. The glass shops especially amazed me. I wanted to buy almost everything I saw.

One day, while simply exploring, I came across a remarkable building with an exterior staircase that spiraled upward. It was one of those unexpected discoveries that made Venice feel even more magical.

I would love to go back someday, and I could even imagine living there for a while, surrounded by the canals, history, architecture, and all those little places waiting to be discovered.

If you could live in one beautiful or awe-inspiring place, where would you choose?

The image on my cover for “Gateway to Adventure” uses the tower I found in Venice.
