If you could start a charity, what would it be and why?


Mine would focus on giving girls from low-income families and isolated small towns a chance to see more of what the world has to offer.


Not just college. Not just the jobs they already know about. I mean careers, trades, skills, travel, technology, business, the military, creative work, and opportunities they may never have heard of simply because of where or how they grew up.


I sometimes wonder…

If you had learned as a child about all the possibilities available to you, would your life have been different?


Would you have chosen another career? Learned a different skill? Tried something you never knew existed?

What if every child had the same chance to discover what is out there and was encouraged to reach for it?

    Boys need to learn about the trades. Mike Rowe is doing a fine job in that department. I should probably send him a few bucks.

    You ask the question, and the answer is in my upcoming novel. If I could start a charity it would be to clean up the our environment.
