Meeting while Traveling?

What’s the best way to meet new people while traveling?

I don’t usually set out to meet people. Most of the time, it just happens! A conversation starts, someone shares a recommendation, and suddenly you’re swapping travel stories.

Group travel makes it easier, too. Whether it’s a photography group, a senior travel group, or an organized tour, you already have something in common: an interest in the trip.

On a cruise, try sitting at a large table with other travelers. You might meet someone from across the world, discover a shared interest, or hear a story you’ll remember long after you get home.

Sometimes the people you meet become one of the best parts of the journey.

Have you ever made a friend while traveling?

Interesting post, Karen. I think sometimes you meet the best people by accident. When I was travelling through Spain as a teenager a VW camper parked up at the side of us. It was two Australian brothers. We travelled together for three months.
