What was your first ever videogame?

Oh, dear. I’m afraid this answer is going to date me! 😂

I saved up for a Commodore 64 and programmed a little game where a ball bounced back and forth across the screen. The goal was simple: hit it and keep it moving. Think of a very rough version of Pong.

It wasn’t fancy, but I programmed it myself, and I was so proud every time that little ball did what it was supposed to!

Then came space battles and games where tapping the arrow keys felt like serious business. Looking at today’s games, it’s amazing how far we’ve come. Still, there was something special about making that little ball bounce.

What was your first game?

Coming from a software engineering major, that is so cool that you programmed it yourself!
